some perspectives of our final design




these are southern elevations of our final design. they are constructed with steel portal frames, colourbond cladding, rammed eart, double roofing providing an air lock, large eaves, and are on stumps which are 60cm off the ground.
Here are some pictures of additional ideas, which were quite similar to our final project. Except that in the final project we seperated the living and bathroom spaces into different pavillions, and joined each pavillion by small natural paths.







these images show one of our ideas for a loyout involving an internal courtyard, as this is appropriate for temperature control in hot dry climates. However we found that this plan impacted too heavily on its site as it was going to be constructed from rammed earth, and the layout was too formal for our liking.
